Construction is always going on – trade fair for building, buying and living

Welcome to Dresden's only construction and real estate fair this year. On September 10 and 11, 2022, the “Bauen Kaufen Wohnen” will take place in Dresden, with around 100 exhibitors presenting themselves in Hall 1 of the Dresden Exhibition Center. It is the first trade fair after a long period of the Corona pandemic that is allowed to take place without restrictive measures. The range of exhibits includes real estate acquisition and financing, new construction and conversion, as well as renovation and furnishing of your own four walls, supplemented by a property and real estate exchange and a focus on ENERGY.

Construction is always taking place – and the coronavirus pandemic has actually increased the general desire for home ownership. The real estate market is on the move again, and new opportunities are opening up despite the current difficult situation. Whether it's a renovation project in the countryside or a new construction project on the outskirts of town, experts from industry associations and consumer protection organizations advise checking the key factors related to the property before building or buying. And this is where the Bauen Kaufen Wohnen trade fair comes in, offering all interested parties market comparisons and expert advice. In the real estate sector, the offers for condominiums, owner-occupied homes and plots of land dominate – the range extends from city apartments to building plots, from prefabricated houses to existing properties. The range is supplemented by construction planning as well as financing and funding. At the trade fair, for example, the Sächsische Aufbaubank provides information on the current housing subsidies in the Free State of Saxony. At the home builders' advice center, professional associations and consumer organizations offer comprehensive consumer information on topics related to energy, construction and living.

The exhibition area for building and renovation shows kitchen equipment, ovens, fireplaces, as well as windows, doors, gates and more for the home, along with the most beautiful interior design ideas. Anyone who builds a new home will do so in an energy-efficient way anyway. But those who buy today do so 60% from the existing stock and have to invest again in energy-saving measures. The Sächsische Energieagentur SAENA will be advising at the trade fair on efficient and safe renovation, funding opportunities and a suitable renovation roadmap. Another current topic dominates this year's trade fair: “New heating - which is the right one and what is being funded?” Anyone planning to build a new house or replace their heating system should be well informed in order to keep operating costs as low as possible in the future. Experts will be on hand to demonstrate possible variants and combinations of heating systems with renewable energies, and provide information on economic efficiency and current funding opportunities. For example, the 2023 Renewable Energy Sources Act (EEG) will make the purchase of a photovoltaic system significantly more attractive for private owners again.
An extensive lecture program accompanies the fair and offers informative lectures and advice on financing, funding, energy efficiency, heating, photovoltaics and much more. A visit to the construction and real estate fair is definitely worthwhile to get tips and ideas for your own four walls. Please note that Bauen Kaufen Wohnen has different opening hours than last year: The trade fair is open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Interested parties should please purchase tickets online. Admission costs €6 for adults and €4 for seniors; this includes access to the lecture program.
